Structural Integrity

A few months back I got in contact with a model I’ve worked with in the past, Madelein Erasmus. She called me up saying that she found this fantastic location and that we just had to shoot there. Not ever seeing the location before we got there just hearing her rave about it, I was not too sure what to expect. When we arrived on the day of, I drive all the way down this long windy road water on one side and old farm houses on the other. Then there is was a tiny little shack that looked like it was sinking into the water, roof caved in and plants completely overgrown all the way around. It was FANTASTIC! I was so excited to shoot there. As we started getting set up inside, I only had one thought…structural integrity. I was sure the roof was going to completely cave in on us the entire time but she was so into it that it brought the energy back.

Here are some of the shots we got from the day. I am completely in love with them and think that this is really what happens when photography and model are on the exact same page, feeding off eachother’s energy.

Nice. I think my favourite is number 3 from the bottom, love the light in that one.
