Alley Ways

My lovely model Alysha Davis and I have done quite a few shoots and each time we do try to step it up and change something. This time I decided to go more urban that pretty and I am in love with the results. The shoot had many unfortunate things but in the end turned out to be perfect location and perfect lighting. Abbotsford that day had a strange amount of flies which were annoying beforehand, but the alley we chose to shoot in was home to 3 large garbage bins. The smell was awful and the flies were pests. It ended up being a lot of fun. So here are some of the best shots from the shoot.

Fort Langley

I feel sad taking away the light from my peacock shoot but this blog seems to get written in spurts.

Another shoot that I absolutely loved and must include is my shoot with Erin Meehan. We went out to Fort Langley to shoot on a REALLY sunny day. Probably not my best choice. But I love working with Erin so all was good.

Here are a few of my favorite shots.

Peacock!

I have not written in a while. This blog seems to have gotten lost in the back of my mind along with my communications class. In a life filled with school and life and friends and photography and a lot of family, some things just fall behind. Anyways, here is a recent shoot I did.

My lovely model Dana came up with the idea to do a peacock themed shoot. It was a lot of fun for me to plan and execute. This was the first time I really did everything for the shoot. I did hair, makeup, styling and the photography. It was a lot of fun and I am hoping to be able to do that more often.

The shoot is also accompanied with a hilarious tale of breaking and entering which in the end resulting in a perfect location.

Photoshoot with Madelein

My lovely best friend Madelein Erasmus asked for a shoot for christmas. So we took a drive up to Cultus Lake one gorgeous day in February. Cultus happens to be one of our favorite spots to go in the summer and it is host to our amazing camp CLUCC. I bought my 50mm f/1.8 only a few days before this shoot, so it was my first real use of such a low app as well as my first experience with fixed lens. After this shoot, I fell in love.
